The 2026 card is starting to drop and that means it’s time for a new card analysis! Join us April 17 for our card launch party to hear all our thoughts on the new card followed by social or guided play. 11-11:45am Card review - we will share all of our insights and what to make sure you know about the 2026 card so you can start the year off strong. 12-2pm Social or Guided play with the 2026 NMJL card. Don’t have yours yet? We will have some to borrow, but make sure you’ve ordered yours from nationalmahjonggleague.org so you can get ready to bling your new card. Pick your spot – come solo and we’ll seat you, or grab your friends and sign up as a table of four. Instructor Support – Social plays are NOT lessons, but our instructors (Brooke + Gabi) will be around to answer questions and clarify rules during the session. STRATEGY TABLE - GUIDED PLAY - UPGRADE: Want extra support? Brooke or Gabi will offer more real-time guidance and strategy talk during your play (limited to the first 8 people who register for this option). Raffle Door Prize – Receive a door prize entry ticket just for attending and earn more for each mahj win to have a chance at our mahj prize. Whether you’re polishing your skills, meeting new players, or just in the mood for a little tile time with friends, Our Mahj Social Plays make it easy to play, laugh, and connect. Cancellation Policy
At Mahj + Miami, every event is thoughtfully designed — from curating tables to styling every seat for a fun, fair, and fabulous experience. To keep the vibe smooth and respectful for all players, we kindly ask that you please review the following: 🔸 Cancellations We do not offer refunds for cancellations. If you cancel 48+ hours before an event, we’re happy to allow you to reschedule your spot at a future lesson/event of equal value (pending availability). This credit must be used within 60 days of the original event date, otherwise it will expire. ***Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable and not eligible for credit.*** Please understand that last-minute cancellations affect seating arrangements and disrupt the flow of the event for everyone. 🔸 Table Seating We do our best to accommodate seating preferences and aim to place all players at traditional 4-top tables. However: Due to unforeseen circumstances such as no-shows or last-minute cancellations, we may need to adjust the seating chart to ensure all players can be included. Depending on registration, some games may be played with less than 4 players. Occasionally, you may be seated at a larger communal table alongside another group of 4. While we strive to seat players of similar skill levels together, we can’t always guarantee perfect pairings — thank you for your flexibility and spirit of play! 🔸 Running Late Please arrive on time. If you're more than 15 minutes late, you may be asked to sit out that round to avoid interrupting gameplay. Your punctuality helps keep the table experience smooth for everyone. 🔸 Group Play Guidelines: Individual house rules do not apply. We follow the official guidelines of the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) to ensure consistency and fairness for all players. Please note that we do not use blank tiles or variations outside of NMJL rules. 🔸 End-of-Event Policy : We’ll provide a 15-minute notice before the event ends to allow for wrap-up. While you're welcome to stay and mingle, we kindly begin collecting and packing up all Mahj + Miami materials at that time - including tiles, racks, and mats. If you'd like to continue playing after the event, you’re welcome to bring your own tiles.
